Lord’s ventured into manufacturing of Lithium batteries used for E-Vehicle, Solar Appliances, Electrical Products, Power Projects, etc. by establishing state of the art assembly unit at Silvassa. Lord’s management’s decision to manufacture the batteries was on the basis of high demand in the market. This battery unit is ISO certified for ISO 2009:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 27001:2013 by the company which is certified and registered with IEC Standards (European Union Standards). The agency “Enertech” has ranked Lord’s unit as number 1 in country for the installed capacity and testing facility.
The product is undergoing a trial production run and the commercial production would commence at full swing. Government of India is promoting various schemes for the use of eco-friendly batteries for various applications. The FAME 2 Scheme announced by Government of India for the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles which will boost the demand for Lithium-ion batteries in near future. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has given mandate to replace all power backups like diesel generators and Lead Acid batteries for Telecom Towers by Lithium-ion batteries. Lord’s is already the OEM Partner with PHILIPS (Signify Innovations India Ltd.), Patanjali Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd and Premier Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd. Lord’s is also discussing with Schneider (Luminous) to act as OEM Partner for Lithium battery for Energy storage, Solar batteries, etc. and should concluded soon. Lord’s is also in process to finalize as OEM partners for supply of Lithium Ion batteries for E - Vehicle (Cars) with Hyundai Motors, Tata Motors and Mahindra.
